Safe haven
quiet breaths
Rise and fall
we quit these depths
To surface here
on sated shore
Beneath same moon
as shone before.

One hundred years now
have passed in this dark ocean
 of unquenched desire.

Cast asunder
by casual lust
Love grew like you
hard on my tongue
Bodies’ waves
of frantic dance
To find release
in this last chance.

A moment wasted
 left forever here to lie
 by love, rejected.

Sandy rest
cast on this beach
Your hand in mine
still out of reach
To softly rise
and through the foam
Find our ways
to separate homes.

Salty on my tongue
 the memory of you lives
 like a photograph.
